RB Halter and Performance Horses, agent for the above named stallion, will herein be referred to as Breeder. This service is engaged subject to the following:
1. This contract is good for only one foal per mare. Multiple foals from the same mare in the same breeding season will require a separate contract and fee for each resulting foal. The only exception to this is twins that are carried throughout term and foaled by one mare.
2. Stallion fees are as follows:
A non-refundable booking/chute fee of $100 is to accompany this contract when returned to RB Halter and Performance Horses. A shipping charge of $300 per mare, as well as the remaining $400 ballance of the stud fee is due before any semen will be shipped. Please make checks payable to Melanie Bearden.
3. A photo copy of the mares’ registration papers will be sent to the Breeder with this contract.
4. Shipping days are Monday through Friday with prior notification required. You or your breeding facility must contact us at the number listed below no later that 3:00 the day before the shipment must be sent. We highly recommend sending your mare to a vet clinic or breeding farm for her heat cycle. They will help to coordinate optimum shipping times.

5. We must be notified no later than 3PM Central Time on the day before the shipment is to be sent. Semen will be shipped on an “as available” basis. Mares sent to the breeder will receive preference for semen availability.
6. The shipping container must be returned to Equine Reproductive Services, LLC at the above stated address within 3 days of the date received or the Mare Owner will be charged for the container.
7. The breeding season in force for this contract shall begin February 1 and close July 15 of the year on this contract.
8. Live Foal Guarantee: Live foal means the foal shall live for 24 hours. It is understood that if the mare proves barren, aborts her foal, if foal is stillborn, or if foal dies within 24 hours of birth, a return season is guaranteed for the following year only (Mare Owner will be responsible for all veterinary and shipping charges), providing proper notification is given. Proper notification is a written certification by a licensed veterinarian within seven days of discovery that the mare has slipped, produced a non-viable foal, or foal died within 24 hours of birth. Mare Owner certifies that such abortion or death did not result from any act or omission of the Mare Owner. This guarantee is not transferable in the event of sale without the prior consent of the Breeder.
9. The Breeder guarantees a colored foal from this breeding. A colored foal is defined as one that displays enough white markings to qualify for Regular APHA Registry under the current rules and regulations as defined in the current year’s APHA Rule Book. If the resulting foal does not qualify for Regular Registration with APHA, the Mare Owner has the option of a rebreed the following season for a charge of a $100 chute fee. All veterinary and shipping charges will be the Mare Owner’s responsibility. This guarantee is not transferable in the event of sale without the prior consent of the Breeder. No colored foal guarantees on second year rebreeds.
10. Third year rebreeds are subject to an additional chute fee. No live foal guarantee on third year rebreeds.
11. Should the above named stallion die, or become unfit for service, or if the above named mare should die during breeding season, then the Mare Owner may substitute another mare or breed the mare to another stallion standing at the Breeder's facility, that is agreed to by both the Mare Owner and Breeder.
12. A breeders certificate will be issued to Mare Owner after all expenses have been paid in full and upon notification of birth of live foal.
13. This contract is governed by the laws of the state of Texas. All accounts are due and payable in Smith County, Texas, in U.S. Dollars.
14. This contract is not valid unless completed in full and signed.

1.) Fill out and sign the enclosed Stallion Contract.
2.) Be sure to make a copy of your mares’ registration papers and the signed Stallion Contract. You might want to make an additional copy to keep for your records.
3.) Return the original signed contract, $100 booking/chute fee (make check payable to Melanie Bearden), and a copy of your mares’ registration papers to:
